Spotlight on: 60 Great Queen Street
Step inside 60 Great Queen Street and you immediately feel the grand history. The Art Deco Grand Temple, with its 60-foot ceilings and dramatic mosaics, sets the tone for a venue that was built for big moments. It is the kind of space that makes people stop in their tracks.
Events here carry a sense of occasion. Conferences have an energy that lingers, awards nights feel cinematic, and product launches take on a level of style that only this kind of architecture can deliver. Beyond the headline spaces are hidden gems such as the Egyptian Room and the adaptable Gallery, giving organisers room to shape something truly original.
To get a better sense of what goes on behind the scenes, we spoke with Lauren Faraday, Director of Sales, and Laura Wilson, Event Sales Manager. They shared how their team brings precision and creativity to every event, whether it is a 900-seat presentation or an intimate dinner tucked away in one of the venue’s more secret corners.

If your venue had a personality, how would you describe it in three words?
Iconic, Sophisticated and Welcoming
What’s one feature or space in your venue that always wows corporate clients?
One space that consistently impresses our corporate clients is the Grand Temple. As the heart of 60 Great Queen Street, it’s a breathtaking Art Deco hall with soaring 60ft ceilings, intricate mosaic detailing, and an architectural presence that creates an immediate sense of occasion. With 900 fixed, comfortable theatre-style seats and completely unobstructed sightlines, no columns, no visual barriers, it’s an ideal setting for large-scale presentations, ceremonies, and headline moments. Its scale and character provide the perfect foundation for a truly show-stopping setup.
What’s your dream corporate event to host, and why?
We love the more creative, the better. At 60 Great Queen Street, our dream corporate event breaks the mould, whether an immersive product launch, a stylish awards ceremony, or an innovative conference that uses the space unexpectedly. With stunning Art Deco architecture and flexible spaces, the venue is perfect for bold ideas and memorable experiences. When clients push the boundaries of creativity, the venue truly comes alive, and we get to help bring something unique and spectacular to life.

What sets your venue apart from others in the corporate world?
What sets 60 Great Queen Street apart is the variety and beauty of its spaces. The Vestibules, with their high ceilings and original architectural features, provide an elegant setting for receptions and exhibitions. The Gallery offers a contemporary, flexible space with affordable conference packages, ideal for daytime corporate events. Meanwhile, the Egyptian Room is a hidden gem, intimate and opulent, with gilded details and a real sense of occasion. While the venue is a favourite for the corporate world, it’s just as magical for private events and weddings, offering a unique and memorable setting for any celebration.
What’s your “hidden gem” feature that people might overlook?
Our “hidden gem” has got to be the Egyptian Room. It’s tucked away behind an ornate anteroom, so many visitors don’t discover it immediately. But once inside, guests are wowed by its stunning gold accents, grand pillars, and intimate yet luxurious atmosphere. It’s the perfect space for smaller, exclusive events like intimate dinners or private ceremonies, offering a unique blend of historic elegance and exclusivity that truly sets it apart.

How does your team make every event extra special?
It all begins with a conversation. From the moment you reach out, we’re right there with you, listening to your ideas, asking the right questions, and taking the time to truly understand what matters most to you. How does your team ensure every corporate event runs smoothly?
It comes down to preparation, experience, and a genuine commitment to getting every detail right. From the outset, we work closely with you to understand the goals and flow of your event. The combined expertise of our dedicated team and trusted suppliers handles everything behind the scenes, from AV setup and staging to guest logistics and catering coordination. We all know the space inside out, which means we can anticipate needs before they arise and respond quickly to any changes on the day.

What type of corporate events does your venue attract most?
We welcome a wide range of corporate events, but some of the most popular include conferences, awards ceremonies, and product launches. Our Gallery space is a particular favourite for conferences, with a comprehensive production package available to make organising events there simple.
That said, the real strength of our venue lies in its flexibility. From the grandeur of The Grand Temple to the adaptable Gallery space, our versatile venue lets us craft the perfect experience – whether that’s adding an exclusive party to your conference or creating an unforgettable post‑launch fine‑dining event. No two events are the same here, and that’s exactly how we like it.
What corporate event trends are you noticing, and how is your venue adapting to them?
At 60 Great Queen Street, some trends we’ve picked up on are an increasing shift in corporate events toward immersive experiences, tech-heavy delivery and a real focus on delivering an elevated food experience – which is why we’re so pleased we have the fantastic Moving Venue Caterers as our in-house catering provider. We’ve also recently started integrating cutting-edge WiFi services to support live-streaming capabilities. Our team are attuned to these evolving needs. We work closely with every client to deliver events that are seamless and well-executed and creatively aligned with current trends, ensuring each experience feels relevant, engaging, and truly impactful.
Finally, what’s your go-to song for hyping up before a big event?
