The Scene at voco Kirkton Park Hunter Valley

Situated amongst Pokolbin’s wine region, voco Kirkton Park Hunter Valley is undoubtedly picturesque. Its impressive tree-lined driveway leads up to the complex’s summer house-inspired buildings. Each one features traditional wood cladding, intricately sculpted verandas and Georgian-style windows to add a sense of heritage charm.

Inside, the recently refurbished interiors are light and bright, with predominantly neutral décor throughout and occasional colourful accents. For large events, the roomy Hunter & Rothbury Convention Centre with soaring ceilings, a separate foyer and a full-length balcony is ideal. Or you may like the James Busby Room’s retro feel, achieved through crystal chandeliers, decorative ceilings and mullioned French windows. Either way, there’s a choice of round or long table seating and plenty of space for a dancefloor. And you can decorate each space as you like.

Looking for an outdoor event space? The estate is also home to stunning gardens with year-round roses and elegant fountains. Not to mention open-air terraces strung with festoon lighting for a touch of sparkle and several firepits – hot chocolate and marshmallows, anyone?

Ceremonies at this Hunter Valley wedding venue generally take place outdoors amongst the estate’s rural surroundings. Popular settings include Manor Garden, Between the Urns and the Back Fence lawn. Meanwhile, nearby St Patrick’s of Nulkaba can offer an idyllic church service if you’d prefer.

Or, for something a bit different, you could opt for an intimate High Tea celebration with close family. Or choose a hearty BBQ with live music and fireworks. There’s also plenty of space for a marquee on the estate’s various lawns.

Venue Testimonials

My husband and I recently got married at the Kirkton. The wedding coordinator was so organised and we always felt like we were in safe hands which meant we were able to relax and enjoy ourselves. We were so happy with all the staff, the venue and the food and we would highly recommend the Kirkton to anyone looking for a wedding or function venue.

I had my wedding here last weekend and cannot fault the experience at all. The event coordinator is absolutely fantastic. The venue is well kept and the upgrades/new renovations look great. The food is high class and the staff are very professional. If you are considering having an event here I highly recommend doing so. Absolute dream come true. Thank you KP.
