We sat down with the team of Moon Dog Doglands and found out just a little bit more about the venue and the tasty selection of beers that put them on the map to begin with.

If your venue had a personality, how would you describe it in three words?

Vibrant. Unique. Adventurous.

What’s one feature or space in your venue that always wows corporate clients?

Our bar. 360 degrees, multicoloured, stacked with endless Moon Dog products from our Preston Brewery.

What’s your dream corporate event to host, and why?

We actually got to work with REA Group last EOY season, which was high on my list of dream clients, so now, Melbourne Fashion Week / Show! With our circular boardwalk, there could potentially be a summery / tropical / jungle unique and extravagant event. I’d love to take events that are traditional to certain venue styles and flip them into our space.

What sets your venue apart from others in the corporate world?

Pre-themed, our tropical oasis is summer all year round. With a licensed 1,200-capacity venue, boasting versatility for a variety of group sizes, think activation areas, pockets that can be transformed into experiences and being circular, the venue drives guests to absolutely everywhere. All of this is backed by one of Victoria’s largest Independent Breweries. No standard packs here, no standard beer list, and we make so much more than just beer!

What’s your “hidden gem” feature that people might overlook?

We are the hidden gem of Docklands! But within our walls, there are little hidden gems in every corner to be found. One event last year, we converted our second space, The Jungle Room, into a Karaoke Room for the function. Offering a unique experience and joining the spaces together, for guests to explore.

What type of corporate events does your venue attract most?

Cocktail events! But even they come in all shapes and sizes. Our venue encourages exploration, conversation and experiences!

What corporate event trends are you noticing, and how is your venue adapting to them?

It’s all about the experience, the feel, the vibe. What’s the add-on, the hook, that keeps the guests talking about the event for weeks, not days? Our venue is the experience, comes themed, comes with extras and has activation zones everywhere.

Finally, what’s your go-to song for hyping up before a big event?

Fred Again.. – Jungle
