Couples can host a breathtaking indoor or outdoor ceremony at Terrace on the Domain before their evening wedding reception. Ask the events team about timing restrictions and charges. If you’re looking to conduct your ceremony elsewhere on The Garden grounds, contact the Royal Botanic Gardens Trust to discuss ceremony options. To make your day as smooth sailing as possible, add on a 2-hour ceremony furniture package, which includes 30 white folding wedding chairs, a clothed signing table, delivery, set-up, and pack-down.
Once you’ve booked your ceremony and received a permit from the Trust, you can use the same for photography on The Garden grounds.
In case of inclement weather, the venue provides couples with a wet weather option.

The venue can host up to 325 guests for a standing cocktail reception. For seated events, the venue capacity is 160 guests with a dancefloor or 190 guests without a dancefloor.
The cut-off time for weddings is 11 pm, with guests departing latest by 11:30 pm. There is an option to extend based on council approval.
Following a picturesque ceremony at one of the many wedding ceremony locations available in The Royal Botanic Gardens, couples and their guests enjoy cocktail hour on the wrap-around outdoor verandah. Inside, delicious Italian-inspired modern cuisine awaits; impeccable service and a party atmosphere for speeches, cake cutting, the bridal waltz and everyone up dancing. After the farewell, guests can party on at one of the many bars, hotels and clubs in the nearby CBD.
