If you’re looking for a winery wedding venue near Melbourne, chances are you’ve stumbled across the glorious Yarra Valley in your research. A world-famous wine region, the Yarra Valley is home to hundreds of 5-star restaurants, wineries, hotels, and tourist attractions – meaning that to stand out, venues have to be pretty special.
Vue on Halcyon certainly achieves that. A glorious family-run winery estate featuring rows of stunning vines, manicured lawns, and stretching paddocks, Vue on Halcyon is a premier events space perfect for weddings that want to blend rustic country escapes with classic winery elegance.
The Scene at Vue on Halcyon Yarra Valley
Everything you need for your dreamy winery wedding day is already in place on the property. A gorgeous dining hall is a perfect place for receptions, featuring light timber accents and winery views. There’s a non-denominational chapel on the grounds and a lovely lawn area where couples can get married under the open sky.
After the ceremony, picture wandering hand-in-hand through rows and rows of vines as your photographer snaps photos or posing beneath the whimsical trees for a private kiss. A bonus (and beloved) addition to your wedding party is Vue on Halcyon’s two very friendly alpacas! These two furry bundles love visitors and make a great and iconic wedding photo companion!
For more formal shots, the estate has a stunning rose arbour, and the main gate is a popular backdrop to bridal party photos. To top it off, head up into their huge paddock with your wedding party for perfect golden hour photos with the rolling Yarra Valley hills behind you.
After that, head up to the main dining hall for your reception. Catering is designed, cooked, and served by Vue on Halcyon’s elite events team, led by owners Rennae and Dean. With more than 10 years of experience in the industry, they lend their expertise and ingenuity to you on the day of your wedding, ensuring they’re on-site to keep things running smoothly. The team also oversees venue visits, rehearsals, and on the day.
Vue on Halcyon Yarra Valley Wedding Ceremonies
Vue on Halcyon offers two ceremony locations. The first is the popular outdoor ceremony, located on kempt green lawns with the vines behind you. The venue provides thirty chairs and a signing table, and many couples request wine barrels be placed either at the head of the aisle or at the foot. Some couples opt to bring in an arbour to exchange vows beneath, either kept rustic and simple or decked out in beautiful flowers.
The second location is inside the venue’s non-denominational chapel. A light-filled space, the chapel comfortably seats an intimate number of guests. The chapel features a vaulted ceiling and exposed timber beams. Guests pass a wine barrel in the foyer, a fun talking point to remind guests that they’re on a premier winery estate.
Vue on Halcyon Yarra Valley Wedding Receptions
After the reception is complete, you’re likely to nip off for wedding photos across the property. The venue staff can start serving pre-reception canapes and drinks to your guests, keeping their hunger at bay as the kitchen staff leap into dinner action. These nibbles are served out on the Cellar Door verandah, where guests have an unobstructed view of the vineyards and countryside.
For your reception, Vue on Halcyon provides the following:
- White linen
- A printed menu and table numbers
- Hanging florals feature (at additional cost)
- Cake table and cake knife
- Gifts table
- Cordless microphone
- Supply of fixtures

We were married in the chapel and loved how unique and contemporary the chapel space is. It was the most picture-perfect and romantic location for tying the knot. The chapel could fit all our family and friends easily, yet also made our ceremony feel intimate and inclusive.
Vue on Halcyon provides the most stunning backdrop to a special occasion and we are so lucky to have celebrated our wedding at this venue. Rennae, Dean and the team at Vue went above and beyond to make our special day happen! The feedback from our guests is a testament to the incredible work that the team at Vue do for their couples.
Of course we have nothing but positive words to say about Dean, Rennae and Vue on Halcyon. Vue was our only choice when looking for a venue as it holds such a special place in our lives.
