The Ned London

Set inside the former Midland Bank building designed by Sir Edwin ‘Ned’ Lutyens, The Ned is a lavish hotel, club and dining hotspot in the City of London. The historic building was transformed following a careful restoration by the design teams of Soho House and Sydell Group. The hotel retains its many period features. This is particularly evident on its historic sixth floor, which is home to six event rooms, two outdoor terraces and the Princes Dome. The rooms are naturally lit, offering a beautiful backdrop for couples looking to say ‘I do’.

The Scene at The Ned London

The Ned, in its new incarnation, retains the original character and grandeur of its former spaces. Weddings at this historic venue are an elegant and memorable affair, especially when you consider the unhindered views of the London skyline from the building’s rooftop terraces.

Vintage chandeliers, wood panelling and arched windows adorn the hotel’s event rooms. The resulting ambience is sophisticated and ideal for an intimate gathering of 50 guests or a lavish celebration with 200.

The Ned London Wedding Ceremonies

The Ned is fully-licensed for wedding ceremonies and offers six beautiful and restored indoor event spaces for varying guest capacities. Whether it’s the cosy Rose Room or the expansive Tapestry Room, each event room will be perfect for your ceremony. Also, don’t miss the incredible photo opportunities from the hotel’s terraces.

Looking to get ready or relax for your special day? Ned’s Club Spa offers men’s and women’s services covering everything from hair styling, wet shaves, manicures, pedicures and hammam treatments.

If you’re unsure about which room to book, we recommend you start your research with the Tapestry Room or The Saloon.

The Ned London Wedding Receptions

When it comes to wedding receptions at The Ned, The Tapestry Room & The Saloon are two uber-popular venue options. Alternatively, couples have the choice of taking over the entire sixth floor for a grand celebration that includes the ceremony, drinks reception and dinner.

The Tapestry Room is an iconic event space with crystal chandeliers and original walnut panelling. Arched windows here bring in ample natural light. The room can accommodate up to 120 guests in a seated dinner or 200 in a standing reception.

An 18th-century chandelier from London’s Devonshire House serves as the crowning jewel of The Saloon. Combined with restored parquet flooring and ornate chalk frieze on the walls, this historic room is yet another elegant indoor space for a seated dinner of 70 guests or a cocktail reception for 120.

The terraces, which offer views over St Paul’s Cathedral and the City of London, are ideal for canapés and pre-dinner drinks and can be used in conjunction with the event spaces.

Looking to host your entire wedding day at The Ned? The hotel has an extensive supplier list for everything from decorations, florists and entertainment to photographers. Work with the hotel’s in-house wedding coordinator to customise your wedding day. The venue has a late license until 1am which could be extended on request. BYO music or DJ equipment is also an option.

Bespoke packages are available from £200 per person. The hotel also offers wedding packages starting from £30,000 for 100 guests. This includes menu tasting, selection of canapes, prosecco, cocktails and soft drinks; three-course dinner, wine, after-dinner drinks, DJ equipment, evening munchies, overnight accommodation for the wedded couple and more. Venue Testimonials

Ground floor bar was wonderful, high qualify service and great drinks. […] It's not hard to imagine this place was the formerly the bank of England, spacious and breathtaking architectural detail.

Aaron G

Beautiful design and service! An old bank transformed into a mesmerizing hotel. The place blew my mind. Beautiful swimming pool on roof terrace […] a vault turned into a bar very cool!

P B

Went to a two day work conference here […] if it's grand opulence you're after this place has it in spades. The place is huge, marble pillars with ornate detailing around all the rooms and very posh dosh at our shin dig.
