Meet our team: The people behind exceptional events

14th Jul 2026

At Venue Crew, our people are what make the difference.

Every day, our event specialists work alongside clients as trusted advisors, helping them navigate venue sourcing with confidence while making the process feel effortless. But who are the people behind the emails, recommendations and great event ideas? We asked the team about what they love most about their roles, their event superpowers and the little things that help turn good events into exceptional ones.

Veronica Delagado

What’s your role and what do you love most about it?

Senior Partnerships Manager. I love building long-lasting relationships with our venue partners as well as our clients.

What’s one thing clients are always surprised you handle behind the scenes?

Content creation! Well, I wouldn’t call it that exactly as we have amazing video editors and an entire Content Team who work their magic to make everything look good and polished, but I try to capture as much material as possible whenever I attend an event or site visit.

What’s your superpower when it comes to events?

I am lucky to have a great memory, so when I see a brief from a client, I can instantly think of a list of venues that would suit their event based on style, capacity and rough pricing.

What makes a great venue experience in your opinion?

I think it’s all down to good communication prior to the event so everything runs smoothly on the day.

Coffee order?

Not really a coffee person, so probably an iced latte or a black americano.

Ballroom, rooftop, warehouse or winery? Pick your dream event venue.Rooftop or a venue with views. I loved The Gherkin which has now sadly closed for events, but 8 Bishopsgate or Horizon 22 are great alternatives.

Most memorable event moment?

Attending the Betches UK launch party that we helped organise at Circe’s Rooftop. It was so fun!

If you could plan an event for anyone in the world, who would it be?

An album launch party for a music artist…or a world tour!

What’s your go-to way to unwind after a big event?

Not proud of this but… doomscrolling.

Sophie Maisary

What’s your role and what do you love most about it?

Venue Finding Specialist in Corporate (with a dash of business development; I’m like a cocktail!)

What’s one thing clients are always surprised you handle behind the scenes?

I think they might be surprised how much venue relationship building there is. Venues see us as a partner as well as client. The better the relationship, the better deal we can cut for the client.

What’s your superpower when it comes to events?

I’m blessed to know events from every angle. I’ve been a buyer, I’ve been in venue operations, and I’ve been a venue seller. I know how they operate, and that makes communicating clients’ needs easier. I know what sort of tech the client will need before the client knows it themselves

What makes a great venue experience in your opinion?

The staff. You could have any kind of venue, but if the staff have that can-do attitude and really want to impress your client from the get-go its a winner from me

Coffee order?

Salted honey latte with skimmed milk.

Ballroom, rooftop, warehouse or winery? Pick your dream event venue.

Nothing beats an iconic rooftop in London… but with shade.

Most memorable event moment?

Dogs always make every event better. This particular one dashed around the gallery space with the event staff trying to grab her. It looked like a scene from an old slapstick movie. The joy on the guests’ faces seeing the dog and then realising what was happening was hilarious. There were very favourable reviews.

If you could plan an event for anyone in the world, who would it be?

I would love to do a big wrap party for a film crew. They always bring out the most random entertainment, and I would love to be able to help source that for them.

What’s your go-to way to unwind after a big event?

I’m a big believer in putting the laptop away and going for a walk in the park or reading a book in the garden. Nature makes everything better.

Scott Carey

What’s your role and what do you love most about it?

Venue Sales Executive. I love that every single day brings a new client and a fresh set of challenges.

What’s one thing clients are always surprised you handle behind the scenes?

I think people are often relieved by how much of the intense venue coordination and pressure we take off their plates.

What’s your superpower when it comes to events?

I am absolutely relentless; I won’t stop searching until I’ve secured the perfect option for my client.

What makes a great venue experience in your opinion?

It’s all about the energy—having a venue contact who is truly awake, engaged, and enthusiastic makes all the difference.

Coffee order?

I actually don’t drink it!

Ballroom, rooftop, warehouse or winery? Pick your dream event venue.

I’m torn between the industrial vibe of a warehouse or the views from a rooftop.

If you could plan an event for anyone in the world, who would it be?

I would love to organise the ultimate celebration for the England squad after winning the World Cup.

What’s your go-to way to unwind after a big event?

I love heading to the pitch to watch my kids at football and rugby training, usually with a cold beer in hand.
