The inviting space is decorated in Wedgwood blue with high ceilings and a period fireplace and carpeted staircase leading to the Gallery on the first floor. The light-filled Beatrice Webb Room is the venue's largest room and features beautiful brass chandeliers and period detail throughout, as well as magnificent views of some of the city’s landmarks. The adjoining Gallery space is included in the hire of the Beatrice Webb Room and displays fine artwork from the collection of The British Academy. It’s a light and refreshing space for break out sessions.

The enormous bay windows of the Council Room make it a grand and spacious room filled with light, while the Barnard Room features an ornate yet unfinished Trompe l’oeil painted ceiling. The Lee Library and Reading Room are impressive spaces with archways and artworks, and floor-to-ceiling bookcases that stretch along the walls. The Radhakrishnan Room is a bright, double-aspect room featuring major pieces from the academy’s art collection hanging along its walls, as well as gold chandeliers from a majestic corniced ceiling. The Music Room is a beautifully elegant space that brings the ‘wow’ factor to any event. All rooms feature stunning period details throughout and can accommodate 80-90 standing guests.

The Wohl Gallery is a bright, contemporary event space featuring impressive double-height ceilings, abundant natural light and a pillar-free layout. Located on the lower ground floor, it is fully accessible via two lifts with wide access points and offers a comfortable, air-conditioned setting for meetings, private events and celebrations. The gallery connects seamlessly with the neighbouring Lecture Room and SHAPE Room, allowing the spaces to be used individually or combined for larger occasions. A neutral colour palette and built-in presentation screen also make it an excellent choice for customised branding and styling.
