Drapers' Hall Weddings

Are you searching for a heritage London wedding venue, with regal interiors and outdoor garden space? Drapers’ Hall could be the one you’ve been looking for. Engaged couples are also drawn to this wedding venue for its iconic movie appearances — it has been used as a backdrop for period dramas and films like The King’s Speech.

VenueCrew Tip: Drapers’ Hall is closed to weddings in August and September, so this venue is a better pick for couples planning a late autumn, winter, or spring wedding.

Drapers’ Hall London Wedding Receptions

After exchanging your vows at a nearby church like St Michael Cornhill, or a suitable London Registry Office, your chosen Drapers’ Hall function room will be dressed and ready for your arrival. If the weather permits, the Garden Courtyard is a beautiful setting to kick off the celebrations, with a champagne reception beneath the Portland stone arches and carvings.

Inside, the Livery Hall is the largest room reached via a grand staircase. Its incredible painted ceilings, panelling and marble columns create a majestic wedding scene. For a more intimate feel, the Drawing Room is a firm favourite amongst wedding couples. The classical 19th-century decor, chandeliers and mint coloured furniture make a picturesque reception setting.

Venue Testimonials

What a beautiful place! A lot of interesting history here, owned by an association of drapers. Even King William of Orange used to be a member for some time. [...] It's currently used as a venue that can be rented out for weddings, events and so on. I even saw Sir Francis Drake featured in a stained glass window! This hall also has the biggest windows I've seen in a while, as well as beautiful paintings and decorative ceilings
