The Scene at Fulham Palace London
On the banks of the Thames, Fulham Palace is a Grade I listed building that’s made up of stunning architectural details, gardens and unique period features. For centuries, the palace was home to the Bishops of London and its architectural style has varied throughout the years, resulting in a beautiful mix of styles, from Tudor to Georgian. This unique wedding venue has seven spaces to choose from to host your big day, with the option of exclusive hire.
Fulham Place is a wedding venue with indoor and outdoor space which makes it perfect for couples who want flexibility. Host drinks in the Tudor Courtyard for your guests before having your ceremony in the beautiful Bishop Terrick’s Drawing Room, followed by a blessing in the 1860s-built Tait Chapel. Have your wedding photographs in the 13 acres of beautiful gardens before settling down to your wedding breakfast in the oldest part of the palace – the Great Hall – or the pavilion marquee next to the Tait Chapel, which is particularly beautiful for summer weddings, followed by dancing in the dedicated collection of dance rooms.
With a bespoke and personal approach to each wedding, the dedicated wedding coordinators at Fulham Palace will help you create a tailored wedding day that suits you right down to every last detail – including your bespoke menu from Michelin-trained chefs. Experience romance, style, personalised service, and an idyllic countryside setting in the middle of West London, the formal wedding venue that has the couple at the heart of everything it does.
Fulham Palace London Wedding Ceremonies
Fulham Palace has four rooms that are licensed for civil ceremonies. The Great Hall is the largest room, a stunning space to say your vows surrounded by dark wood panelling and chandeliers. The Bishop Terrick’s Drawing Room is a wonderful alternative for smaller, more intimate ceremonies. Natural light and stunning period features such as an ornate ceiling, stone fireplace and a bookcase you can fill with your own mementos makes this room a romantic and personal place to say your vows.
Following your ceremony, couples can have a blessing in the private chapel within the gardens of Fulham Palace. Built in 1867, Tait Chapel has stunning features such as gold-leaf mosaics, stained-glass windows, and an impressive working organ.
Fulham Palace London Wedding Receptions
The team at Fulham Palace has a bespoke approach to every wedding day, meaning you can have a wedding reception that suits you perfectly. When holding weddings at Fulham Palace, couples can opt to have exclusive use of the whole venue, allowing you to have use of different areas throughout. Make use of the outdoor spaces with the Garden Marquee or Tudor Courtyard, with an elegant area for drinks or dinner in a clear span marquee, while the indoor rooms are perfect for more intimate receptions or winter weddings.
As with the rest of your wedding day, catering is completely bespoke too. Food comes from award-winning external caterers Bovingdons Catering, whose Michelin-trained chefs specialise in modern European cuisine using fresh, seasonal, and sustainably sourced produce.

One of London's hidden gems. The Summer retreat for many centuries for the Bishops of London. Beautiful grade 1 listed building with a Tudor clock tower courtyard with a raised stone circular pond at it's centre. [...] The gardens are the home of at least two of "the Great Trees of London". Situated in close proximity to The River Thames and the starting line for the annual Boat Race.
We had our marriage ceremony in the Bishop Sherlock's room. It was an absolutely fantastic location, a bright and airy room which was beautiful. Our guests enjoyed the string quartet in the courtyard when we went with our photographer to the Victorian walled garden to get some wedding photos taken. The location is fantastic and the gardens are beautiful.
Such a beautiful and historic place. I have been to celebrations here. The gardens are lovely and such a treat to come and meet friends over a cool glass of wine. Good selection of food. Such a delight when the sun comes out.
