Hampton Court Palace Surrey Wedding Ceremonies
Hampton Court Palace has a civil ceremony licence, with ceremonies able to take place in the Garden Room, Little Banqueting House, or Great Hall. The Little Banqueting House is a beautiful space within the gardens that’s perfect for intimate ceremonies, boasting 18th century murals by Antonio Verrio and views of the River Thames. For a larger occasion, the Garden Room is a 1920s-style orangery that’s spacious, light and has French windows that open out onto a private walled garden for your use before and after saying your vows.
For a ceremony that feels as though you’ve stepped back in time to Henry VIII’s heyday, consider the Great Hall. This medieval hall has a soaring hammer-beam ceiling, stained-glass windows and elaborate tapestries that create a unique yet traditional backdrop to your special moment.

Couples can have their pick of venues throughout Hampton Court Palace for their wedding reception. The Little Banqueting Room can be used in conjunction with the Garden Room, making a great option for a small ceremony followed by a larger reception with dancing. For grand receptions, consider the Great Hall and adjacent Great Watching Chamber. Or to go even larger, marquees can be set up within the grounds and host hundreds of guests. Catering can be inhouse or external from an approved list of caterers, allowing you to have a meal that suits you best.
