Ironmongers’ Hall London Events

On the edge of the Barbican Estate and just a few steps behind the Museum of London is an events venue steeped in history. Ironmongers’ Hall, established by the Ironmongers’ Company that dates to 1300, has taken pride of place on Shaftesbury Place since 1925.

Built in the Tudor style, this traditional events venue reflects the Ironmongers’ Company’s rich history, and feels like a private stately home in the heart of the City of London. The minute guests step through the entrance, they’re greeted with stone flag flooring, dark oak panelling, ornate ceilings, elaborate chandeliers, rich tapestries, stained-glass windows and historic artwork. There’s a sense of grandeur and splendour, with the warmth of a country home, and you can feel the history of Britain in its walls.

Four event rooms are yours to choose from to hold corporate functions, dinners, or your wedding day, with the experienced team offering all the modern technology and facilities without compromising on the historic feel of the venue. Venue Testimonials

We were looking for a place that would feel intimate, but formal enough to impress the many guests who were flying in from overseas. The venue itself is stunning, the great hall, the reception room - it takes one's breath away, but what really impressed us was the kindness and professionalism of the team. [...] The food was delicious, the atmosphere amazing - it really was a magical evening.

Catherine C

Lovely dining function room with minstrels gallery. There is a beautiful reception room which has the largest tapestry - the whole room is covered by William Morris tapestry wall covering - stunning.

Susan B

Very special place. Where traditions meet modern needs. Lovely halls and rooms. Unique atmosphere. We loved it.
