Kensington Palace is licensed for ceremonies and civil partnerships for up to 150 guests. Typically, wedding ceremonies are conducted in the early evening hours in the State Apartments – the King’s Drawing Room or the King’s Gallery. This is usually done after the residence has been closed to the public. Evoking old-world British grandeur – the rooms feature detailed ceilings, red damask fabrics and dark wood panels. For mandap Hindu weddings – the Pavilion offers a beautiful setting.

Every corner and every room at Kensington Palace oozes history and tells a story. An experience that your guests can live as they enjoy the celebratory champagne of your wedding reception. Typically, seated dinners can be hosted in four of the five State Rooms following which, guests are led into the Pavilion for dancing and entertainment. The Entrance Hall, which is a relatively modern addition to the list of event spaces onsite, is particularly well suited for large dinners and drinks receptions.
Kensington Palace hosts just one wedding at a time, irrespective of whether it involves booking the State Apartments, Pavilion or both. The exclusive ambience of having this historic venue all to yourselves adds even more royalty to your day.
As a dry hire wedding venue, couples will be provided with a comprehensive approved supplier list covering quality florists, caterers, decorators, entertainment and production specialists and furniture hirers.
