Kew Gardens Weddings

Weddings at Kew Gardens are a truly enchanting affair. Surrounded by history and home to over 50,000 living plants, this World Heritage Site offers an array of beautiful indoor and outdoor locations for couples to begin their new marital chapter.

The Scene at Kew Gardens

Kew Gardens is a place of natural wonder and rich history, providing a truly unforgettable backdrop for civil ceremonies and wedding receptions.

The UNESCO World Heritage Site is an iconic wedding venue in South West London, and it’s not difficult to see why. The botanical research and educational institution boasts manicured gardens, several striking Grade-listed buildings, over 50,000 living plants, and even a touch of regal history.

With venues dotted throughout the site, Kew Gardens offers endless possibilities for your wedding day. Some of the options for couples include the striking Princess of Wales Conservatory, the bright Nash Conservatory, the classic Cambridge Cottage, or the choice to hire multiple spaces. With high ceilings and grand arched windows filling each location with an abundance of natural light, you’re guaranteed an awe-inspiring backdrop.

Kew Gardens Wedding Ceremonies

Two picturesque wedding ceremony locations are dotted throughout Kew Gardens, with each ceremony space having its own pricing structure and capacity allowance.

Couples can choose from the bright, airy Nash Conservatory with a capacity of up to 200 guests, or for a more intimate affair, Cambridge Cottage is a classic setting with space for 80 guests. Alternatively, couples can celebrate alfresco and exchange vows outside Cambridge Cottage by the French doors of the Drawing Room while guests look on from the lawn of the Duke’s Garden.

Kew Gardens Wedding Receptions

If you choose to hold your wedding reception at Kew Gardens you’ll have several spellbinding event spaces to choose from and couples can hire more than one space for their special day.

Enjoy a drinks reception in the Nash Conservatory before dinner in the Temperate House, the oldest Victorian glasshouse in the world, with its emporium of exotic plants and rare flora. Or, choose to raise a glass in the elegant Orangery with its grand windows flooding the floor with natural light.

For a spectacular evening reception, the illuminated Princess of Wales Conservatory is a unique glasshouse with ten different climate zones.

Venue Testimonials

I cannot speak highly enough of the team and the staff. The Drawing Room and Gallery are beautiful spaces for the wedding breakfast and evening reception. We were fortunate to have gorgeous weather on the day so were able to make the most of the private garden for our drinks reception and group photos. […] The staff […] were really helpful in planning the day and on the day itself.

Great quaint venue for events […], with its own garden backing out into the botanical garden itself.

Ahemmer

We held my son's wedding in Kew Gardens, using three of the buildings including the Orangery for dinner and dancing, the Nash Conservatory for a blessing and the Princess of Wales Conservatory for drinks. It was a huge success. The staff […] were brilliant, the locations stunning and it all came together to give us all a memorable day. […] Strongly recommended.
