St Stephen Walbrook
St Stephen Walbrook: A place of celebration
St Stephen Walbrook Church, Sir Christopher Wren’s masterpiece, has been described as one of the ten most important buildings in England. The main space is crowned by the first dome to be built in the UK, predating St. Paul’s Cathedral.
The interior, which has been beautifully restored & renovated in the latter part of 2024 and into 2025, is focussed around a central stone altar, carved by Henry Moore in travertine marble which stands on an elegant white marble floor surrounded by Circular pews which are removable.
Within the opulent space you can hold a traditional religious wedding ceremony for up to 150 guests seated on the circular pews which surround the altar, or up to 260 guests with additional seating hired in. After your ceremony, up to 150 guests can enjoy a drinks reception to toast the happy couple beneath the magnificent dome before heading on to your wedding breakfast. For smaller ceremonies of up to 50 guests we welcome you to stay at St Stephen Walbrook after your ceremony for a drinks reception followed by a magnificent seated dinner around the circular altar.
Located by Bank Station, St Stephen Walbrook is a hidden gem within the city, perfect for your wedding day celebration.
