Weddings at The Gherkin can be tailored to suit a couple’s individual specifications. Intimate celebrations are well suited for the private dining rooms on the 38th floor. For more elaborate celebrations, levels 39 and 40 offer a more fitting ambience.

Surrounded by views of the Capital, The Gherkin literally offers couples that ‘top-of-the-world’ feeling as they say their vows. The 39th and 40th floors are licensed for ceremonies and can host a maximum of 140 guests.
While The Gherkin offers full-service catering and bar options, BYO catering is also permitted following approval. The spaces are flexible, which means you could style it depending on your wedding theme. Hire levels 39 and 40 (Helix & Iris Bar) exclusively for weekend events. For weekdays, Iris Bar on the 40th floor is available for hire.
The Gherkin London Wedding Receptions
Wedding receptions at the Gherkin feel particularly special owing to fantastic views of the city lighting up as the sun goes down. The venue can accommodate 260 guests in a cocktail-style reception over levels 39 & 40 with packages starting from £165 + VAT per guest.
The Iris Bar & Helix Restaurant on levels 39 and 40 can be hired exclusively for your wedding reception at The Gherkin. In addition to the outdoor views, the appeal of the 40th floor is accentuated by a glass-domed ceiling that creates the illusion of being directly under the sky. Perfect for that first dance under the stars.
For a more intimate experience with fewer guests, couples could choose from one of the five private dining rooms on the 38th level – Cirrus, Cumulus, Nimbus, Alto and Stratus. Individually, these rooms could host about 20-30 guests for a seated lunch or dinner. Alternatively, couples could group two rooms together to create one continuous space hosting 50 guests in a banquet-style event or 60 guests in a standing reception.
